Classes begin in less than a month on August 10. We will need freshmen to come to BHS on August 3 to pick up their Chromebooks, but the remainder of enrollment and registration can be handled online.
Please carefully read the steps below.
1. ONLINE ENROLLMENT
Annual enrollment of RETURNING students is done using the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Parents need to have a PowerSchool account set up for the student.
If you have difficulty accessing or using the Parent Portal, please call BHS at 918-336-3311 OR you can come to BHS to enroll in person:
Incoming 9thgraders: Thursday, 8/3 from 8-11 a.m., 12:30-3 p.m., or 5-6 p.m. in the Freshman Academy
Click here to enroll a student who is NEW to the district | Spanish version
At the Enrollment website, click the Create Account button to get started; the enrollment system login is separate from the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If new students to the district have difficulty with online enrollment, please call the Education Service Center at 918-336-8600 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday to schedule an appointment with Jennifer Turner, who will assist you.
2. OPTIONAL CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE
High school students are issued Chromebooks they transport to and from school daily. A lost high school Chromebook & case are worth $325. However, insurance is available for $26 online that covers 100% of the cost of a first incident and 50% for a second incident. The insurance lasts for one school year.
Once you have a PowerSchool account, you can pay in advance for the optional annual Chromebook insurance to speed up the in-person registration. It costs $26 for the 2023-24 school year. (You can also pay at the in-person freshman Chromebook pickup on August 3 for $26 if paying with a credit/debit card or $30 if paying with cash.)
Go to ok-bartlesville.intouchreceipting.com and use the student's ID number as the username and the student's last name as the password. (Or you can use Purchases and Payments within PowerSchool.)
3. FRESHMEN CHROMEBOOK PICKUP
Freshmen should SIGN UP HERE for a slot at the in-person Chromebook pickup in the BHS Freshman Academy Library on Thursday, August 3.
4. FREE AND REDUCED MEALS APPLICATIONS
It is IMPORTANT that EVERYONE who might be eligible apply for free-or-reduced meals HERE. Applying not only helps children get fed but also is critical for the district to qualify for federal funding for a wide variety of programs.
5. AFFORDABLE INTERNET
Home internet service is important for effective use of Chromebooks and for distance learning days. Some families qualify for a $30-75 per month discount on home internet service. Once classes begin, a limited number of cellular hotspots will also be available for checkout from the library for students who lack home internet access.
